Council member Gloria is seeking individuals who are interested in gaining relevant, quality experience in the field of local government while assisting our office with various tasks and projects and acquiring necessary requirements for school-related internship programs.
The Todd Gloria Internship Program will be based on a 10-week, eight- to 12-hours-per-week schedule, with two to three interns in the program at a time. Schedules will be based on four-hour shifts; two shifts a day each Tuesday and Thursday; 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. , and 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; as well as the flexibility to offer shifts in the morning or afternoon time slot on Mondays and Fridays.
Tasks/Projects:
Sending updates, photos, events and information to the web team with our Deputy Chief.
General office work and assistance.
Answering phones and fielding constituent input
Taking scheduling requests and assisting with constituent casework intake for staff.
Filing/coping/mailing of memos, letters, etc…
Staffing at local festivals, street fairs and special events.
Writing general correspondence letters, proclamations, resolutions, certificates, etc…
Attending weekly council meetings.
Writing briefs for consent and/or committee agenda items.
