The San Diego County Young Democrats (the “Young Dems”) welcome you to our group! We’re the official Democratic Party organization for voters under the age of 36 in San Diego who wish to actively participate in the Democratic Party. Our members work hard to improve the San Diego community and elect Democrats – from San Diego City Council to the halls of Congress. Participate in the Young Dems and you will:
- Meet other young professionals and students in the San Diego community who share your values;
- Work to elect Democratic candidates at all levels of government;
- Improve your community today by participating in our community service events;
- Learn the ropes about the political process so you can be an effective advocate for the things you care about;
- Meet elected officials and ask them questions directly.
In the past two years, we’ve had visits from national, statewide and local candidates and our group is growing. The people who believe San Diego is merely a place for retired Republicans are blind to the change that is happening around them. YOU are the future of San Diego. And even if we haven’t met you, we know you. You’re young, technically savvy and you know this country is messed up. Come help us do something about it and welcome aboard!
