Welcome to the San Diego County Young Democrats webpage! The SDCYD is part of the California State Democratic Party, and works closely with both the county party and our local elected officials. The club is open to any registered Democrat under the age of 36.

Info: Myrtle Cole has the support of San Diego City Council President Todd Gloria, Mayor of San Diego Bob Filner, Councilmember David Alvarez, the San Diego Democratic Party as well as many other elected officials and organizations of San Diego County. Myrtle needs our support the most now, to GOTV.
The election on May 21 is going to need as many voters as possible to get out and vote. Join us to talk with voters and help them get ready to cast their ballots on Sunday May 19, the last Sunday before the election!

Info: We are excited that Francine Busby will be speaking with us this month. Francine has distinguished herself as a strong advocate for women and girls, public education and equal opportunity for all Americans. She is the Executive Director of Run Women Run, a non-profit organization dedicated to electing pro-choice women. Francine has also served as the President of the Cardiff School District and previously ran for Congress. Since 2004, she has been in the forefront of the dynamic growth of the San Diego County Democratic Party as a candidate, mentor, volunteer, North Area Vice-Chair, and fundraiser. Happy hour is from 6-6:30pm and our meeting will begin promptly at 6:30pm.

The NLC Institute brings together a diverse group of progressive individuals and provides them the tools needed to become effective civic leaders in San Diego, such as political entrepreneurship, mentorship, networking, and professional advancement opportunities.
